it's been a long and mercurial year
filled with triumph and regret and love and tears and heartache and kindness.
Now I feel as if the tide has turned.
There’s a tradition in my family wherein my grandma hides 4 skinned almonds in the rice pudding and they bring good luck for the following year to whoever gets one. I really hate rice pudding, but I got an almond last night!
